Enigmatic Jade - Incite at Columbia University

After a rat ate the popcorn exhibit at our old basement office on Broadway, we decided it was time for a new office space.

On moving day, we found the new space on Claremont Avenue was bright, clean, and completely empty—save for a mysterious plant. After some research, we came to discover that the plant was a jade tree, appearing to be almost 50 years old. We also found out that jade trees are commonly called “money trees”. Learning this, almost all staff clandestinely took it upon themselves to water this Enigmatic Jade. After nearly caring her to death, we’ve landed on a watering schedule that has restored Jade to full health. Jade sits in our main conference room.

Though she adds little to conversation, and has not yet yielded any money, we appreciate the vague sense of past (and future) that she offers.
