The topic of this research project lies at the intersection of social networking and privacy.
As the title suggests, it's an exploration into a puzzling anti-privacy behavior where dating app users share their dating profiles onto what you would more traditionally think of as social media platforms. This project looks at three online communities—one on Facebook, Reddit, and TikTok. Each platform is unique in its design and affordances, and each platform reveals interesting insights.
