Join us from in celebrating centering and celebrating queer BIPOC voices in film at the 2024 Queer Voices NYC Film Festival (QVYC).
QVNYC is a three-day event (Sep 27-29) hosted at the historic Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center that centers and celebrates LGBTQIA+ filmmakers of color from all five boroughs of New York City and around the world.
QVNYC’s mission is to empower LBTQIA+ filmmakers of color by providing a space to showcase their talent, shape their own stories, and connect them to opportunities for professional development in the entertainment industry. In doing so, QVNYC addresses systematic underrepresentations of Black, Brown, and queer people throughout the filmmaking process.
In 2024, QVNYC began a partnership with Queerly at Incite to develop sustainable sources of support for BIPOC LGBTQ+ filmmakers in NYC. Via Queerly, Incite is contributing institutional, financial, and administrative support toward this festival
