Elizaveta (Liza) Sheremet is a PhD student and Paul F. Lazarsfeld Fellow in Sociology at Columbia University.
Her research centers on science, folk science, and morality. Her previous work focused on how informational cues about research, such as institutional affiliation and funding, shape lay perceptions of the plausibility of scientific claims. Her current research examines the interplay between the discourse of public trust in science and the moralization among scientists.
She holds a BA and MA in Sociology from the Higher School of Economics in Moscow.
