About Queerly

Queerly is an emerging Incite initiative currently led by m-f² (aka Incite’s Executive Director, Michael Falco). Our goal is to support queer and trans artists, activists, scholars, and people. What is now known as Queerly began in April 2023 with the launch of Logic(s) Magazine’s artistic residency and its appointment of designer Bones Jones (House°Bones) as artistic director.

Recognizing that the roadblocks to creation for trans and queer people are many and profound, Queerly is an effort to broaden dialogue and create safer conditions for queer thought, action and expression. We want to model non-extractive and defiantly queer forms of support to meet the intellectual, administrative and physical/mental space needs of working creators and change-makers. To date we have involved nearly 100 queer artists, activists and scholars in our work… and the list keeps growing!

Our work is demonstrated in Whimsical Magic (June 2023), Precipice (March 2024-see program), and through our Clemente x Incite partnership, where two dozen trans, queer and dispossessed artists and creatives supported Bones in the rebuilding of studio space. Partners have included Leslie-Lohman, The Center, Pornceptual, Callen-Lorde, Queer Voices, The American LGBTQ+ Museum, and more.

Keep watching this space! In the coming weeks and months we will announce several new initiatives and partnerships and we expect to continue event series like Precipice, among many others. And in the meantime, learn about our Mutual Aid for Artists and Activists Project (MAAAP!) here.
