Caitlin Bertin-Mahieux is an oral historian and Project Manager for the Carnegie Corporation of New York Oral History Project. Prior to returning to INCITE in 2022, she spent four years in France where she worked as the Senior Project Manager at The George and Irina Schaeffer Center for the Study of Genocide, Human Rights and Conflict Prevention at The American University of Paris. At INCITE from 2012-2017, Caitlin conducted interviews and managed oral history projects about the impact of global philanthropy, the Arab Spring in Tunisia, the influence of American academic institutions on US/Soviet relations and the innovations in substance abuse treatment in the U.S. She began working at Columbia University after earning her MPA in Social Policy from the School of International and Public Affairs. Caitlin received her M.Phil. in Peace Studies from Trinity College Dublin and her BA in International Relations and French from Wheaton College in Norton, MA.
